We've updated our entire application development software suite for Windows and Windows Server and for the Linux, Unix and OpenVMS platforms. Upgrade now to MANTIS Release 3.1.01.
MANTIS 3.1.01 includes many new features, designed specifically to reduce development time and improve programming efficiency.
- MantisStudio is the next generation of MANTIS Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for current customers. MantisStudio is a fully self-contained developer's suite consisting of MantisStudio, an Eclipse-based developer's workplace, MANTIS XML (with an Application Server), and a Windows MANTIS Server. Early adopters can obtain MantisStudio. For more information, please contact us at MantisStudio@cincom.com.
- Native XML file views enable MANTIS developers to use MANTIS File Design to create XML file layouts. MANTIS can then access a file in XML format as a native MANTIS file, allowing input and output of XML-formatted data.
- This release of MANTIS provides an easy-to-use facility that enables you to define a web service from your MANTIS programs and screens. With this automated Web Services Description Language (WSDL) generation, you can package your business processes as services for easy interaction with other SOA-enabled participants.
- MANTIS 3.1.01 is available for Windows and Windows Server platforms. This allows server-based, multi-user MANTIS to run on Windows and Windows Server platforms under Microsoft's Windows with Services for UNIX (SFU) or Windows Servers with Subsystem for UNIX Applications (SUA).
- MANTIS now allows for the creation of working storage that can be shared across MANTIS program levels. This conserves real memory by allowing you to have the view defined only onceand then shared by multiple MANTIS programs.
- MANTIS now allows you to have mixed case (both upper and lower case) letters in the names of variables.
